Dan  Brown was a bright spot in the Rams season. He led City College in  batting with a 2.76 average and 14 RBIs, along with six doubles.

On the mound, Aaron Hartman led the Rams with a 7.52 ERA in 16 appearances. He had 31 strikeouts.

Softball
After  struggling through conference play the last months of the season, City  College’s softball team had smiles on their faces when they won their  last game of the season against Mission College, 4-2.

The  Rams finished their season with a record of 3-24. Despite their last  place finish, City College batted .277 as a team and tied for third in  the conference in home runs with 18.

Even  though two of their leading hitters Megan McGuire and Luisa Sausedo are  graduating, the Rams will still have shortstop Rae Walsworth and  pitcher Yennifer Mendoza to take the reins next season.

Swimming
City  College had a star in the California Community College Athletics  Association Swim and Dive Championships held at East Los Angeles College  in Monterey Park, Calif April 28-30.

Alyssa  Stember finished seventh and 14th in the 50 and 100m backstroke, and is  being considered for All-American status, coach Phong Pham, said,  citing the fastest 16 swimmers in junior college swimming nationwide  with times of 29.58 and 1:04.92. She was the Coast Conference champion  in both events.
